A structuring partnership to enhance motorized two-wheeler safety in Morocco

Rabat, February 16, 2026 – Glovo Morocco and the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) signed a framework agreement on Monday, February 16, 2026, in Rabat, officially launching the Glovo 2030 Road Safety Initiative, an ambitious program aimed at strengthening road risk prevention among riders connecting to the Glovo app.

This initiative is fully aligned with the objectives of the National Road Safety Strategy 2025-2030, placing significant emphasis on proactive road safety and the prevention of accidents among motorized two-wheeler users.

Mr. Benaceur Boulaajoul, Director General of NARSA, stated on this occasion: “This convention illustrates the importance of mobilizing all mobility stakeholders around road safety and concretely working towards achieving the objectives of the National Strategy 2025-2030, particularly concerning vulnerable users.”

The Glovo 2030 initiative is based on an integrated approach combining traceability, field presence to strengthen the culture of responsibility and contribute to safety in the public space.

It is structured around a set of major actions:

  • The visible identification of delivery boxes. This measure aims to allow for their identification and facilitate reporting.
  • Direct reporting of risky road behavior will be possible through a dedicated communication channel, thus supporting NARSA in promoting right and safe riding practices.
  • Glovo is also leveraging the technical tools to identify at-risk driving behaviors. These devices will allow for intervention in the event of non-compliance but also for rewarding responsible practices, as all variables will be aggregated to help calculate the riders “safety score”.
  • Dedicated teams will ensure a regular field presence with the mission of raising awareness about road safety requirements, adjusting behaviors, providing support in case of constraints or difficulties, and escalating situations requiring specific support.
  • Finally, the initiative places important emphasis on road safety training, gradually making it a prerequisite before connecting to the Glovo app for riding. In collaboration with NARSA, specific modules for two-wheeler driving will be developed, and a road safety charter will formalize the commitments of each new rider connecting to the app.

The partnership also provides for the regular sharing of aggregated and anonymized data related to road behavior for scientific research purposes.

Glovo Morocco thus becomes the first and only entity in the Group globally to have set up a team dedicated exclusively to road safety and field supervision. This reflects a desire to integrate road safety into the core of the operational model, considering it a central pillar of the relationship with riders,” stated Hamza Naciri Bennani, General Manager of Glovo Morocco.

Regular monitoring will be ensured through a joint committee with NARSA, which will analyze feedback and evaluate the impact of actions to continuously improve and adjust the initiative's measures.

This public-private partnership illustrates the shared commitment to act in a pragmatic, measurable, and evolving manner to sustainably strengthen road safety and contribute to safer mobility for all.
