Christmas Food Collection Drive

On Christmas 2019, at Glovo we collaborated with FESBAL, the Spanish Federation of Food Banks, on the food collection campaign. The campaign was held on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of November in Madrid and Barcelona, where we already have our own supermarkets.

For the campaign, we created a new category on the application, within Glovo Market, which allowed users to donate money to the NGO in packs of 1, 5 and 10 euros. All the money received during the campaign was given to the Federation with the aim of helping with the food collection that’s organised every year.

This initiative is another thing that will allow us to achieve our goal of being carbon neutral in 2021, as food waste is one of the main causes of Glovo’s carbon emissions.
