Argentina.- On the 23rd of July, a workshop led by Salta’s Secretary of Sports and Youth, and Secretary of Urban Development, took place at Salta’s City Hall to mark the presentation of the “New Mobility plan for the City of Salta”.

The main topic of the day was the presentation of the new public works plan, and the official inauguration of the city’s network of cycle lanes (22 new km, added to the current 70km). A round table with these lanes’ main users was organised, as well as a preventative care workshop for bicycles and motorbikes, before the next steps in the new plan by Salta’s city hall were set out.

The speakers also gave advice on road safety for cyclists, and took note of couriers’ suggestions on how to improve the project and the city’s main roads. Among the session’s participants were Bettina Romero, Salta’s Mayor; Manuela Arancibia, Secretary of Sport and Youth; Nicolás Kripper, Secretary of Citizen Protection; Sebastian Soler, Deputy Secretary of Sustainable Mobility; Bernardo Racedo Aragón, Planning and Control Coordinator; José García Alcázar, City Councillor, and 14 couriers from Glovo who use bicycles.
