Glovo launches hotline during COVID for the most vulnerable

Portugal.- Due to the gravity of the health situation caused by Covid-19, we at Glovo decided to break our traditional business model and offer a telephone line to cities like Lisbon and Porto, through which users could order from both supermarkets and pharmacies – two categories that became essential during the confinement’s most critical points.

This way, each time our users – mainly those belonging to vulnerable groups such as the elderly – wanted to place an order in one of the aforementioned categories, all they had to do was call the hotline number, where they would speak to one of three Glovo agents responsible for taking their order.

This hotline started as a test in Lisbon and Porto, with the idea of rolling it out to other cities. The service is currently on hold, but we won’t rule out bringing it back in the event of our users needing it again.
