Glovo launches its 3 Social Impact Pillars in Côte d’Ivoire
Côte d’Ivoire– At Glovo, performance isn’t only a financial metric. We’re fully aware that other KPIs drive our everyday lives, they’re what we call our Social Impact.
We naturally spent a full day with the team assessing our Q3 results, working on Q4 objectives and making our engagement tangible with the opening of our Glover Centre in Yopougon, the poorest area in Abidjan.
Obviously, impact is not an instant success, but a constant effort in the same direction. In Côte d’Ivoire, we have 3 pillars: Food Waste Management, Circular Economy and couriers’ future. For Food Waste Management, we’re collecting unsold products from Partners and delivering them to NGOs. Regarding Circular Economy, we’re compensating the ecological impact of our Glover Backpacks by repurposing them as school bags, pencil cases, etc.
Finally, we’re trying to be a launchpad for couriers’ future careers. We’re working on helping them build their futures by giving them the right training and our complete support: they are a strong part of our success, it’s only fair to keep up with their investment.
