Glovo and Allied for Startups join forces to empower the entrepreneurial ecosystem
Brussels and Barcelona, 27 June 2023. Allied for Startups and Glovo have joined forces to empower and support startup and scaleup ecosystems across Europe and beyond. AFS and Glovo share the ambition of facilitating entrepreneurs’ path to success through better policy and further support for the innovation ecosystem.
Speaking about the collaboration with Glovo, Allied for Startups’ EU Director Inés Moreno-Alonso, stated: “Learning from the experience of a successful scale-up helps us understand where entrepreneurs need further support from policy makers as well as what is working in the ecosystem”. She added: “We look forward to our collaboration to accomplish our shared goal of making Europe and the world startup-friendly”.
Leveraging its expertise, Glovo is fostering entrepreneurship through various initiatives such as the ‘Glovo House’ program, encouraging founders to realise their business ideas by allowing former and current Glovo employees to support projects through funding and mentorship. Glovo also organises local startup competitions and hosts roundtables for founders to share expertise and learnings with entrepreneurs. Over the past few years, Glovo has directly or indirectly supported the growth of over 40 startups.
