The environmental threat of climate change is absolute. That’s why, at Glovo, we want to make a change and focus on reducing carbon emissions to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of 2021.

Greenhouse gas emissions come from the vehicles used for the delivery of the products offered on the app, the data centres that house our activities, and, above all, the packaging and food waste generated by the consumption of said goods.

In 2020, at Glovo we’ve prepared an action plan to achieve carbon neutrality in 20201. We will start by compensating for 100% of the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the motorbikes and cars of the couriers that work with us. We will also work to improve accessibility to the sustainable packaging we offer, with the aim of providing associated Partners with a larger number of options for eliminating non-sustainable materials from their supply chains.
